Abstract

Objective To observe and contrast the curative effect of the Vitapex paste and zincoxide iodoform paste in root canal therapy in primary teeth. Methods A total of 226 teeth from 120 patients, were divided randomly into two groups, group A was filled with Vitapex paste, group B was filled with zincoxide iodoform paste Results Group A and B were followed up after 6 months,1 year,2 years. The curative effect of two groups were effective with no significant difference(P0.05).The absorption of Vitapex was earlier than the root of primary teeth. The absorption of ZineOxide indoform paste was later than the root of primary teeth which usually lead to deciduous teeth retained. Conclusion The two groups are both suitable for the filling of the primary root canal therapy which can be selected by the growth condition of the primary teeth.
