Abstract

To evaluate the effects of Vitapex paste as filling material in root canal therapy. 270 patients, 280 teeth which were to be treated with root canal therapy were equally divided into two groups at random. The teeth in experimental group were filled with Vitapex paste and those of the control group were filled with zine oxide eugenol oil paste and gutta percha points. The follow up period lasted for two years. The success rates of the experimental and control groups were 97.78% and 88.46% respectively. [Conclusions] Vitapex paste is better than traditional material used in root canal filling therapy.
