Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect of modified Didang decoction on PAI-1 gene ex-pression in liver in insulin resistance rats. Methods:The insulin resistance rats were randomly divided into the control group, the model control group, the high, medium and low dosage of modified Didang decoction groups and western medicine (rosiglitazone) control group.Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reactionwas used to observe the effect of modified Didang decoction on the PAI-1 of liver in rats. Results:Interving groups of modified Didang decoction compared with the model group ,the expression of PAI-1 mRNA in liver were reduced to varying degrees, which medium-dose group was significantly lower (P0.01),followed by high-dose group(P0.05).Conclusion:Through down-regulation on PAI-1 gene expression is possibly one of the mechanisms of modified Didang decoction in treating insulin resistance.
