Abstract

[Objective]To determine the presence of immune and inflammatory representative product in the herniated disc tissue, and explore initially the recurrent cause and change of intervertebral disc herniation.[Method]The pigs were used as animal models after surgery in the intervertebral disc.Macrophage infiltration and presence of immune complexes were observed with the immunohistochemical method in herniated disc tissue in different times, especially in later period.[Result]Immune complexes were found in 22 of 52 herniated disc tissue, and they not only appeared later than macrophage obviously, but remain more positive presence after the reduction of macrophage in the later period.[Conclusion]The immune complexes in the herniated disc tissue may be one important factor in the pathogenesis of intervertebral disc herniation, and may be a factor of the recurrence of intervertebral disc herniation, even the bad curative effect after non-operative treatment.
