Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy of low-molecular-weight heparin calcium in treating patients with acute cerebral infarction and its impact on blood coagulation function. Methods: A total of 120 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into 2 groups: the treatment group and the control group . Patients in control group were treated with routine method in conjunction with the Compound danshen injection. Those in treatment group were treated with the routine method plus low-molecular-weight heparin calcium injection. Function of blood coagulation was examined before initiation of therapy and 10 days after in both groups of patients. Neural function was evaluated by a neural function score system before and 21 days after treatment. Results: The accumulative efficacy for patients in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group (P0.01). The quantity of blood platelet , plasma prothromin time (PT), activated thromboplastin time (APTT),and fibrinogen (FIB) in both groups demonstrated no significant difference before and after treatment (P0.05). Conclusions: Treating patients with acute cerebral infarction by low-molecular-weight heparin calcium is both safe and effective. It can improve neural function and prognosis at 21 days.
