Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of detecting platelet parameters and coagulation indexes in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods The number of platelet(PLT),the plateletcrit(PCT), the mean platelet volume(MPV),the platelet distribution width(PDW),the prothrombin time(PT), the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),the international normalized ratio(INR)and the number of fibrinogen(FIB)in 45cases of liver cirrhosis were compared with 40 healthy cases. Results Compared with those in the healthy group, the PLT and PCT were obviously lower in the group of liver cirrhosis(P 0.05),the MPV and PDW were obviously higher(P 0.01),the PT,APTT and INR were significantly prolonged(P 0.05),and the FIB was significantly reduced(P 0.01).Conclusion The blood of patients with liver cirrhosis were obviously in low coagulation state and the detection of platelet parameters and the blood-related coagulation indexes are important for understanding the extent of liver damage, judging the tendency of bleeding, guiding clinical treatment and judging prognosis.
