Abstract
AIM: To study the contents and determination method of dihydrotanshinone I, cryptotanshinone, tanshinone I, tanshinone IIA in Danshen from different sources. METHODS: Determination by HPLC with the gradient eluent consisted of methanol (1% acetic acid) water (1% acetic acid). The detection wavelength was at 280 nm. RESULTS: The average recovery of four components were all above 97%, RSD was no more than 1.2%. The calibration curve was linear. CONCLUSION: The method is accurate and reliable with good reproducibility.
