Abstract
Plant regeneration system from Rieger begonia leaf culture was studied and established.The results showed that petiole Rieger begonia leaf with main vein(1 cm2) was used as explants;the optimum medium for adventitious shoot induction was MS + 6-BA 0.5 mg/L + NAA 0.5 mg/ L or MS + 6-BA 0.5 mg/L + NAA 0.1 mg/ L + 4% aloe juice,and abundant shoots were obtained after 30~40 d from pre-cultured explants on the medium.MS + 6-BA 0.05 mg/L + NAA 0.1 mg/L and 1/2MS + IBA 0.5 mg/L was suitable medium for shoot multiplication and rooting,respectively.
