Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to study the best medium formula for the tissue culture of regenerated plants of Rieger begonia so as to provide technical references for its rapid propagation.[Method] With the young leaves of Rieger Begonia as explants, which were induced, proliferated and rooting cultured in order to determine its regeneration system.[Result] With the Rieger begonia leaf of about 1 cm2 with main vein as explants, the suitable medium for callus and adventitious shoot induction was MS+6-BA 0.50 mg/L+NAA 0.50 mg/L+4% aloe juice, and the induction rate were 94.44% and 66.67% respectively;the suitable medium for rooting was 1/2MS+NAA 0.10 mg/ L with the rooting rate of 100%.[Conclusion] The study established regeneration system of Rieger begonia.
