Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of survivin and ki67 in the occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The expression of survivin and ki67 protein in the tissue of 40 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients were detected by immunohistochemical method of SP,the relationship between the two proteins and their correlation with clinical characteristics were analyzed. Results Positive expression rate of survivin and ki67 protein in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma were 72.5% and 75.0% respectively. The expression of the two pro-tein were related with the differentiation, infiltration of tumor, but not with the age, sex, transfer. There were significantly positive correlation between the expression of the two proteins(r=0.420,P0.05).Conclusions Survivin and ki67 pro-tein is related with the differentiation and malignant progress of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma ,survivin may promote cell proliferation at the same time of inhibiting apoptosis.
