Abstract

Objective To study the expression of Cox-2 and VEGF in invasive breast carcinoma, and explore their relationship with lymph node metastasis. Methods From our hospital diagnosed breast infiltrating ductal carcinoma operation specimens from 92 patients for breast cancer group,at the same time selection of 45 patients with breast carcinoma tissues as the normal control group. The expression of Cox-2 and VEGF was studied in 92 cases of invasive breast carcinoma by SP immunohistochemistry. Results Cox-2 protein in breast carcinoma in the control group, the positive expression rate of 0,in breast cancer tissue in the positive rate was 68.5%,there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05);Cox-2 in lymph node metastasis group and the group without lymph node metastasis in expression, difference has statistical significance significance(P0.05).VEGF protein in breast in the control group, the positive expression rate of 6.7%,in breast cancer tissue in the positive rate was 90.2%,there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05);VEGF in lymph node metastasis group the positive rate was significantly higher than that in the group without lymph node metastasis, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Cox-2 and VEGF protein are highly expressed in breast carcinoma, and are all related with lymph node metastasis(P0.05),Cox-2 and VEGF may become important role during lymph node metastasis of breast carcinoma.
