Abstract

Objective To observe the inhibitory effect of antineoplastic polypeptide from Buthus martensii venom(APBMV) used into stomach on metastesis tumors-hepatoma 22(H22).Methods Tumor weight, tumor growth inhibitory rate(IR%) were used as the observation indexes.Mice were inoculated by H22,and 24 h late the tumorbearing mice were divided into control,CTX-treated and the APBMV-treated groups which were administered 1.2 mg/ml,0.8 mg/ml,0.4 mg/ml,0.5 ml of APBMV separately via stomach.Tumor-bearing mice were killed after the chemicals were given for 10 days. Results Growth of H22 was inhibited markedly by APBMV at three doses used in this test.Inhibitory rate was over 30% compared with control group and among three doses there was very significant difference(P0.01).Conclusion Growth of H22 tumors is effectivetly inhibited by APBMV.
