Abstract
Because of the resource and environmental constraints,the proportion of Beijing manufacturing industry to total GDP has decreased over the years.The proportion of Beijing service industry has increased significantly,which has reached the standard of major cities in developed countries.However,Beijing manufacturing Industry is still of a significant importance to Beijing and Chinese economies.This article analyzes Beijing manufacturing industry in the following four aspects: first,the overall development of Beijing manufacturing industry;second, the impacts of Beijing manufacturing industry on Beijing resources;third,the impacts of the new Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan location on Beijing manufacturing industry;finally,the historical appropriate development experiences of major cities in the developed countries.In addition,this article proposes an appropriate development strategy called 'Structural optimization' and 'stabilization of industry proportions'.
