Abstract
Objective To study the expression of microvessel density(MVD) marked by CD146 and MMP-14 in cervical squamous carcinoma, then to investigate the relationship between MVD,MMP-14 and clinicopathological factors. Methods The expression of CD146,MMP-14 in 82 cases of cervical squamous carcinoma,48 cases of CIN and 24 cases of chronic cervicitis were investigated by immunohistochemical SP method, and MVD marked by CD146 were examined by computer. Results The average MVD marked by CD146 and expression of MMP-14 in cervical squamous carcinoma were significantly higher than that in CIN and cervicitis(P0.01).They were positively associated with tissue type, depth of invasion,FIGO stage and lymphonode metastasis(P0.01),and were not associated with age(P0.05).There was positive correlation between expression of CD146 and MMP-14(P0.01).Conclusion CD146,MMP-14 are positive regulatory factors of growth, invasion and metastasis of cervical squamous carcinoma. The expression of CD146 is significantly correlated with expression of MMP-14 in cervical squamous carcinoma.
