Analysis on 24 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients receiving continuous arteriovenous fistula suture

Objective To observe the clinical effects of fistula operations established by continuous suture of end-to-side radial artery-cephalic vein on maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods The information of patients,who received fistula operations established by continuous suture of end-to-side radial artery-cephalic vein in the author's department between Jan 2009 and Dec 2011,was collected and summarized.Results 24 patients of maintenance hemodialysis all received fistula operations established by continuous suture of end-to-side radial artery-cephalic vein successfully.The average maturation time of internal fistula was 4 weeks,and the blood flow reached up to 200~250ml/min.The clinical effects were remarkable and there were no complications.Conclusion Fistula operations established by continuous suture of end-to-side radial artery-cephalic vein are simple to operate and have advantages of high success rate and fewer complications.This operation is a good method to establish long-term vascular access for hemodialysis patients and worth to spread.
