Clinical analysis of cephalic vein-radial artery end-side continuous suture fistula surgery (63 cases attached)

Objective To explore the clinical effect of setting long-term vascular passage by cephalic vein-radial artery end-side continuous suture fistula surgery in patients with end stage renal disease.Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted as to the clinical data of 63 patients with end stage renal disease who underwent cephalic vein-radial artery end-side continuous suture fistula surgery in our hospital from January 2007 to December 2009.Results 63 cases of cephalic vein-radial artery end-side continuous suture fistula surgery were completed successfully.The mean fistula reopening time was 4 weeks.The mean blood flow was over 250 ml/min.After a follow-up of 6~12months,3 cases had to undergo the surgery again due to occlusion caused by hard pressure after the puncture dialysis or due to fistula occlusion caused by low blood pressure.The general clinical result was satisfactory,with no obvious complications.Conclusion Cephalic vein-radial artery end-side continuous suture fistula surgery is characteristic of easy operation,high rate of success,exact therapeutic effect and few complications.It can be recommended as the first choice of long term hemodialysis access.
