Abstract

The regeneration system of two cultivars of Chrysanthemum morifolium was established.Adventitious shoots were successfully regenerated from young leaves and internodal segments of in vitro cultures of two chrysanthemum cultivars when cultured on Murashine and Skoog(MS) basal medium supplemented with various plant growth-regulators.The results showed that the optimum medium for callus growth and adventitious buds induction of No.56 was MS+ 6-BA0.5 mg/L +0.05 mg/L NAA whereas MS+ 6-BA0.5 mg/L +NAA 0.1 mg/L was optimal for another cut flower cultivar No.28.For direct induction of adventitious buds from No.56 leaf explants, the optimum medium was MS+ 6-BA1-3 mg/L + NAA0.1-0.5 mg/L.
