Comparison of the Efficacy Between Different Forms of Yiweihuacai Drug on Chronic Atrophic Gastritis

Objective:To observe the difference in the effects between Yiweihuacai decoction and its compatible concentrate-granules on chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).Methods:A total of 58 patients with CAG were randomized into Yiweihuacai granule group(group 1,n=19),decoction group(group 2,n=18),and control group(orally taken Weifuchun capsule,n=21).The treatment course was 3 months.Results:The therapeutic effect was 89.47%,83.33%,and 85.71% in group 1,group 2,and the control group,respectively.Gastroscopy showed that 63.16%、55.56%,and 61.90% of the patients cured in the 3 groups in order,and the improvement in 42.11%、38.89%,and 42.86% of the patients was confirmed by pathological examination.No significant difference in therapeutic effects was found among them(P0.05).Conclusion:Yiweihuacai prescription is equivalently effective to CAG as compared to Weifuchun capsule;Yiweihuacai concentrate-granule has comparable effect to the conventional decoction.
