Clinical observation on 60 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis treated by Tongweikangwei decoction

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tongweikangwei decoction on chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods 120 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis were randomly divided into two groups. 60 patients in treatment group were treated by Tongweikangwei decoction;60 patients in control group were treated by Houtoujianweiling capsule,with a treatment course of 6 months for both groups. The therapeutic effects were observed after one treatment course. Results The effective rate and total effective rate in treatment group were 58.33% and 90.00% respectively, which were 25.00% and 76.67% in control group respectively. There were significant differences between two groups (P0.05 or P0.01) . Conclusion Tongweikangwei decoction is effective in treating chronic atrophic gastritis.
