Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of ureteroscopy in emergency on the treatment of ureter calculi with renal colic. Methods 107 cases of ureter calculi via ureteroscope with EMS Pneumatic lithotriptor or OMNIPULSE TM Ho: YAG lithotriptor were retrospectively analyzed. Results 86 cases were taken out or fragmented in situ after a single session. 2 of the 16 cases flushed to the pelvis renalis in the procedure were fragmented successfully in the pelvis. Uretel perforation occurred 2 and 3 cases failed in the procedure. The successful obstruction relieving rate of one 1 procedure was 95.3% (102/107). The mean expectoration time of calculi free was 2.1 weeks. Conclusions Ureteroscopy is one of the best choices to ureteral calculi with renal colic when good techniques under ureteropyeloscope are provided.
