Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of montelukast sodium combined with ketotifen treating cough variant asthma in children. Methods 120 children with cough variant asthma were randomly divided into the observation group(n=60) and the control group(n=60).Oral montelukast sodium combined with ketotifen were given in the observation group while oral ketotifen combined with procaterol hydrochloride were given in the control group. The treatment lasted for two weeks, repeated the author can follow-up treatment. Results The total effective rate(98.3%) of the observation group was significantly higher than that(78.3%) of the control group;the total recurrence rate(5.0%) of the observation group was significantly lower than that(16.7%) of the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The effect of montelukast sodium combined with ketotifen treating cough variant asthma in children is better with lower recurrence rate.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
