Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect for leukotriene receptor antagonist montelukast in the treatment of children with cough variant asthma. Methods 80 cases of 3~10 years old cough variant asthma were randomly divided into two groups.40 cases in the observation group were given procaterol hydrochloride, ketotifen combined with montelukast chewable tablets in treatment;40 cases in control group were given procaterol hydrochloride combined with ketotifen treatment.Clinical comparison of two groups of children with and 6 months, recurrence. Results The treatment total efficiency in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05),and the recurrence rate was significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Montelukast in the treatment of children with cough variant asthma is significant,it with low recurrence rate, and worthy of clinical application.
