Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of ultrasonic phacoemulsification in combination with implantation of artificial lens for the treatment of high myopia complicated cataract. Methods:Thirty six cases of high myopia complicated cataract underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation from May 2007 to June 2011 in our hospital. Observed the curative effects. Results:Thirty-six cases (56 eyes) of high myopia Complicated Cataract of the visual acuity and corrected visual acuity was to be recovered over more than o.1. Compared to preoperative, the eyes of visual acuity and corrected visual acuity 0.5 at 1 week, 1 and 3 months postoperation were more, the difference was significant (P0.05). Surgery complicated by posterior capsule rupture in 1 cases (1.78%), early postoperative corneal edem in 8 cases (14.29%), postoperative posterior capsular opacity in 2 cases (3.57%). Conclusion:Phacoemulsification plus intraocular lens implantation for high myopia and cataract results is obvious, complications are less, and it is worthy of clinical application.
