Clinical efficacy and influence on endocrine function of low-dose Mifepristone in combination with Nüjin Tablets for the perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Objective To observe the effect of low-dose Mifepristone in combination with Nujin Tablets on perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding and endocrine function. Methods Totally 90 patients with perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, which were assigned to the treatment of lowdose(6.5 mg) Mifepristone and high dose(12.5 mg) Mifepristone combined with Nujin Tablets, with 45 cases in each group respectively. The endometrial thickness, menstrual conditions, serum sex hormone levels, liver and kidney function before, and 6 months after treatment were compared between two groups. Results Clinical curative effect of observation group was significantly better than that of control group(Z = 4.388, P 0.01); the endometrial thickness of observation group was(2.77±0.26) mm, which of the control group was(3.59±0.35) mm at 6 months after treatment, the observation group were less than the control group(t = 12.68, P 0.01); the levels of FSH LH, E2, P were decreased after treatment in both groups, but all in the observation group were dropped significantly than those of control group(t = 19.39, 6.92, 32.31, 5.36, all P 0.01); 12 months after treatment, 33 patients(73.33%) in observation group went into menopause, while the control group had 24 cases(53.33%) with menopause, the menopause rate of observation group was significantly higher than the control group(χ2=3.876, P = 0.049). Conclusion Low-dose Mifepristone combined with Nujin Tablets has definite effect, small side effects on the perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
