Experiment study of treatment effects of Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction and subdivisions on rats with collagen-induced arthritis

Objective:To study the treatment effects of Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction and subdivisions on rats with collagen induced arthritis.Methods:Totally 60 Wistar rats,10 randomly-selected rats were taken into normal control group,and others were used to make the models of collagen induced arthritis,the rats were divided into model group and Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction group and separated groupⅠand separated group Ⅱand separated group Ⅲ with 10 in each group.The degrees of joint swelling were synchronous detected at different times.The index of thymus and spleen were determined.The contents of serum TNF-α,IL-2 were determined by radioimmunoassay.Results:Chinese medicine could improve general symptoms.In 7th day,there was no differences of all CIA groups,in 14th day,the degrees of joint swelling were lower in Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction group than model group,separated groupⅠand separated group Ⅲ(P0.05),in 21th day,the degrees of joint swelling of Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction group and all subdivision groups were lower than all model groups(P0.05).Thymus index and spleen index in Bushen Quhan Zhiwang Decoction group were higher than model group(P0.05).TNF-α,IL-2 levels in all Chinese medicine groups were lower than model group(P0.05).Conclusion:The compatibility of tonifying kidney and dispelling cold and activating blood is the main form in the treatment of collagen induced arthritis.The mechanism may be immunoprotective effects and reduces the inflammatory cytokines.
