Study on Vocabulary Teaching in College English

Vocabulary problems influence the level of language knowledge and communicative competence.This paper attempts to discuss the English vocabulary teaching from three aspects.Teachers should make students aware of and give priory to the learning of high frequency vocabulary and basic category vocabulary.Teachers should teach students the techniques of vocabulary learning.Teachers should try their best to develop students good study habits and interest and guide them to establish self-access learning.
