Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract surgery.Methods Forty-six patients(51 eyes) with cataract underwent extracapusular cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with non-phacoemulsification and small sclerotic incision.The post-surgical visual acuity and corneal astigmatism were evaluated.Results:Recovery after the surgery was excellent.Astigmatism was minimal,while visual acuity was increased steadily.There were no serious complications.Conclusions Small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction combined with lens implantation has the advantages of minimal invasion,less astigmatism and rapid recovery.It is suitable for primary hospitals.
