Abstract

Objective To observe the application and effect of small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. Methods The surgery was performed on 176 eyes of 189 patiens suffered from cataract. The follow-up period was 6-12 months(averaged 9.5 months). Results The visual acuity of 86 eyes(45.50%) were better than 1.0 and 136 eyes (71.96%) were better than 0.5. No serious complications were found. Conclusions The small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation is safe, economical, practical and has good effect.
