Abstract
[Objective]The propose was to study on the poisonous activity of 2-methyl-5-isopropyl phenol in the root of Stellera chamaejasme against Leucania separate.[Method]The compounds A was extracted from the purified root powder of S.chamaejasme and its poisonous activity against L.separate was determined.[Result] The compounds A had better poisonous activity against L.separate and then its lethal concentration(LC50) after treatment for 24 h was 12.7 mg /L.[Conclusion]It was the first time to separate 2-methyl-5-isopropyl phenol from the root of S.chamaejasme, which will lay a good foundation for the research and development of new plant-based insecticides.
