Abstract

Cyclohexene was synthesized from cyclohexanol using potassium bisulfate as dehydration catalyst. The effect of reaction condition, such as the amount of catalyst, temperature and time, were studied. The most suitable conditions for the reaction are as follows: the mass ratio of catalyst to cyclohexanol is 15%, the reaction is carried out at a temperature range of 180~190℃ and the reaction time is 2.5h.The conversion can reach more than 75.6%, and product purity is 97.1%. The catalyst can be reused.
