Abstract
Cyclohexene was prepared from cyclohexanol by dehydration using iodine supported on active carbon(I2/C) as a catalyst. The influences of loaded amount of I2,catalyst amount, reaction temperature, reaction time and reused catalyst in dehydration on dehydration were investigated. The optimum reaction conditions at 185 ℃ for 2 h were as follows:loaded amount of I2 was 23.8%; catalyst was 4 g. The yield reaches 70.2% under the reaction conditions, and catalyst can be reused.
