Abstract
The acid amount of Hβ zeolite could be changed by steam and acid treatment. It could be applied as a new catalyst to the preparation of cyclohexene by dehydration of cyclohexanol. It has high activity and excellent selectivity as well as no corrosion to the facilities.Various reaction parameters such as catalyst amount, reaction temperature and reaction time have been discussed. The optimum reaction conditions were as follows:cyclohexanol 0.2 mol, amount of catalyst 2 g,reaction temperature (190~)200℃,reaction time 3h.The yield of cyclohexene reached 82.3% under the optimum conditions. The catalyst could be utilized repeatedly.
