The application of comprehensive nursing in improving treatment compliance and satisfaction of elderly diabetes patients

Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing in the treatment of elderly diabetes patients. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with type 2 diabetic patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 40 cases in each group,the control group was given the routine nursing,the observation group was given comprehensive nursing,treatment compliance,blood sugar control,self- care ability and nursing satisfaction were compared. Results The treatment compliance of diet control,emotional management,medication compliance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,there were statistically significant( P 0. 05). 3 months after the intervention,FPG,2h PBG in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,there were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Self concept,self responsibility and self care skills in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group,there were statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing can meet the nursing demand for elderly diabetes patients. It can improve thetreatment compliance and nursing satisfaction.
