On the literary reading of "xing"(association) of Ouyang Xiu's Original Meaning of Poems

Ouyang Xiu's Original Meaning of was the first representative works on Book of Songs in the Song Dynasty.It put forward new ideas and method of reading Book of Songs,of which the most prominent one was to include the literary research method of Book of Songs in study of Confucian classics,which was the beginning of turning the latter into literature.This paper discusses how Original Meaning of made research into Poems in the light of art form and made studies of Book of Songs shake off the shackles of Confucian classics,which made great contribution to turning the research of Book of Songs to literature.
