Utilization of Antihypertensive Agents in Our Hospital During the Period 2004～2008

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate and evaluate the status and tendency of the utilization of oral antihypertensive drugs in our hospital.METHODS:The utilization of antihypertensive drugs in our hospital during the period 2004～2008 was analyzed in respect of the drug varieties,consumption sum and DDDs etc.RESULTS:The consumption sum of antihypertensive increased year by year.CCB and ACEI have dominated the first place in terms of consumption sum and DDDs over the 5 years.Amlodipine,Nifedipine,Felodipine,Benazepril,Fosinopril,Irbesartan and Urapidil took the lead among all the kinds in terms of consumption sum and DDDs.CONCLUSION:The utilization of antihypertensive drugs in our hospital was in line with the standard recommended by the Guide for Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in China.
