Effect study of bushen zhuanggu decoction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis

Objective To explore effect of bushen zhuanggu decoction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in order to provide basis for clinical treatment.Methods Eighty-seven cases of patient with knee osteoarthritis in our hospital from February 2011 to April 2013 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table,control group was treated with loxoprofen sodium while observation group was treated with bushen zhuanggu decoction,and two groups were given functional exercise on the basis of treatment.The score of pain,morning stiffness and joint activity of two groups were assessed before and after treatment,clinical effect and the incidence rate of adverse reaction in two groups were compared.Results The score of pain,morning stiffness,joint activity and total score in two groups after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment,with statistical difference (P0.05).The score of pain,morning stiffness,joint activity and total score in observation group were significantly lower than that in control group,with statistical difference (P0.05).The total effect rate of control group and observation group was 71.43% and 93.33% respectively after treatment,with statistical difference (P0.05).The incidence rate of epigastric pain,vomiting,transaminases elevated and rash in control group was 23.81%,16.67%,9.52% and 7.14% respectively,and there was no case of adverse reaction in observation group.Conclusion Clinical effect and safety of bushen zhuanggu decoction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis were better.
