Clinical Efficacy in Treating Knee Pain and Effects on Pain Function Index of Duhuo Zhuanggu Decoction

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of Duhuo Zhuanggu Decoction on treating knee pain and improvement in pain function index. Methods: 140 patients were randomly divided into the observing group and the control group. 70 cases were respectively given Duhuo Zhuanggu Decoction and Aceclofenac Tablet. The clinical efficacy after 4 weeks of treatment and pain functional index at different time points were observed. Results: The total effective rate of observation group and the control group was 90%,91. 43%,respectively,and there were no significant differences between the two groups. The pain functional index score had no difference before treatment between the two groups(P 0. 05). The score index of control group was less than that of the observation group after 1 week treatment(P 0. 01),and there was no difference on the score index 2 weeks and 4 weeks after treatment between the two groups(P 0. 05). The score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after stopping four weeks(P 0. 01). There was no adverse reaction in the observation group,and the incidence of adverse reactions of the control group was 11. 43%. Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of Duhuo Zhuanggu Decoction is reliable on treating knee pain and lasting,without medicine-related adverse effects. It is worthy of clinical application.
