Abstract
The associated regional trial was conducted in 2003-2004(two years′ plant and one year ratoon) on 12 new excellent sugarcane varieties from Fujian,Guangdong, Guangxi,Yunnan,Sichuan and Jianxi Province.The experimental results showed that integrated characters of Yuetang 91/1102 and Guitang 94/119 in plant cane performed better,and their cane yields per hectare were 10% more than ROC10(check variety) and ROC16(check variety);integrated characters of Mintang 92/505 and Yuetang 96/244 in ratoon cane performed better,and their cane yields per hectare were 18% more than ROC10(check variety) and ROC16(check variety);cane sugar of Funong 95/107 and Gannan 95/108 was the highest,which was 16.52% in plant cane and 15.81% in ratoon cane respectively,and their characters of prematurity and high sugar were superior to the two controls.
