Clinical efficacy of benazepril combined with prostaglandin El for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of benazepril combined with prostaglandin E1 on treating diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods A total of 50 patients with DN were enrolled and randomLy divided into combination treatment group(n = 25) and benazepril treatment group(n = 25),and the changes of urine protein and renal function were observed.Results After 4 weeks treatment,24 h urine protein level and 24 h urinary microalbumin excretive rate of combination treatment group were significantly decreased than that before treatment(P 0.05).After 8 weeks treatment,24 h urine protein level and 24 h urinary microalbumin excretive rate of two groups were significantly decreased than that before treatment(P 0.05),and the combination treatment group were decreased more significantly than benazepril treatment group(P 0.05).Conclusion Benazepril combined with prostaglandin E1 treatment is an ideal treatment for DN and worthy of clinical use.
