Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and toxicity of oxaliplatin plus fluorouracil and calcium folinate in treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. Methods Oxaliplatin was given at the dose of 130 mg/m~2,iv gtt for 4 hours on day 1,calcium folinate 200 mg/m~2 ivgtt for 2 hours on days 1 to 5,followed by fluorouracil 300 mg/m~2 ivgtt for 4-6 hours on days 1 to 5.The treatment was given every 3 weeks. Results One patient achieved CR and 12 patients achieved PR,with the overall response rate(CR+PR)of 43.3%.The major toxicity included myelosuppression and neurosensory toxicity.Leucopenia was observed in 46.7% of the patients and neuro-sensory toxicity in 77.7%.There was no any death event during treatment. Conclusion This study shows that the regimen of oxaliplatin plus fluorouracil and calcium folinate for treatment of advanced colorectal cancer is effective and tolerable.
