Abstract

Objective:To study the response and toxicity of the regimen of oxaliplatin combined with fluorouracil and calcium folinate in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. Methods:Thirty five patients(A) with advanced colorectal cancer received chemotherapy:oxaliplatin 100mg/m2 iv 2 hours on day1,calcium folinate 200mg/m2 iv 2 hours days 1 to 5,followed by fluorouracil 300 mg/m2 iv 24 hours on day 1 to 5,and the other 34 cases(B) were treated with cisplatin 20mg/m2 iv 2 hours on day 1 to 5,calcium folinate 200mg/m2 iv 2 hours on day 1 to 5,followed by fluorouracil 500 mg/m2 iv 24 hours on day 1 to 5,three or four weeks as on cycle. Results:The tolal response rate of group A was 45.7% and group B was 33.3%,the1-year and 3-year survival rates of the two gourps were 71.4% and 48.5%,51.4% and 27.3%,(P0.05);the main toxicity was bone marrow suppression, nausea emesis and neuro-sensory toxicity, but most were grade ⅠandⅡ.Conclusion:Regimen of oxaliplatin combined fluorouracil and calcium folinate is effective and tolerable in advanced colorectal cancer therapy.
