Clinical Observation on Treatment of Chronic Apical Periodontitis with Different Root Canal Filling Materials

Abstract

To compare the clinical effects of vitapex plus gutta percha and zinc oxide eugenol paste plus qutta percha in root canal fiuing.220 teeth were randomly divided into two groups.The root canals of 110 teeth(groupA)were filled with vitapex plus gutta percha.The other of 110 teeth(group B)were filled with zinc oxide euqerol paste plus qutta percha.The period of observation after filling infectal root canals was one year. After one year,efficiercy rates of group A and B were 94.71%and 80.58%respectively.Difference between two groups was significant(P0.01).Vitapex has a good therapeutic effect in root canal therapy and was worth extensively being applied in clinical practice.
