Observation on the Therapeutic Efficacies of Senile Constipation with Enema of TCM and Colon Hydropathy

Abstract
Objective:To observe the therapeutic efficacies of senile constipation with enema of traditional chinese medicine(TCM) and colon hydropathy.Methods:A total of 96 the patients were randomly divided into treating group(n=52)and control group(n=44).52 cases were treated with enema of TCM(composed of Huang-qi,Da-huang,Huang-qin,Huang-lian,Bai-zhu)after colon hydropathy,44 cases took orally medicine tablets polyethyleneglycol.Results:The effective rate of treating group was 92.3% and control group was 56.8%,treating group was significant efficacy than that of control group(P0.01).The relapse rate of treating group was 12.5% and control group was 60%,treating group was significant different than that of control group(P0.01).Conclusion:The efficacy of enema of traditional chinese medicine and colon hydropathy are definite for treating senile constipation.The colon hydropathy can promoted intestines peristalsis and eliminated soil.The clyster treatment with herbal medicine decoction can work on the focus directly and has better curative effect.
