Expression and correlation of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF in gastric cancer

Abstract

Objective To investigate expression and clinical significance of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF in human gastric cancer and their correlation.Methods The expression of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF in 60 cases of gastric cancer were detected by immunohistaining methods.Results The positive rates of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF protein expression in gastric cancer were 68.3%(41/60),55.0%(33/60) and 66.7%(40/60) respectively.The expression of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF were significantly correlated with infiltration,lymph nodes metastasis and stage.The expression of survivin was significantly correlated with tumor differentiation also.Further more,the expression of survivin was positivly correlated with the expression of COX-2 and VEGF.Conclusion The expression of survivin,COX-2 and VEGF in gastric cancer were correlated with each other.They may have the synergism in gastric cancer.
