Abstract

[Objective]To understand the effect of health education and behavior intervention in clinics of STD.[Methods]Questionnaire ,health education and behavior intervention were conducted in 112 first visit patients in Central Clinic for Treatment and Control of STD in Guixi city from January to March 2006.[Results]The patients' knowledge on STD and AIDS was improved in varying degrees after intervention (P0.01),and risk behavior was changed a lot (P0.01).There was no change on condom use and seeking medical advice(P0.05).[Conclusion]STD and AIDS control and prevention were improved after health education and behavior intervention of in STD clinics.
