Analysis of the Effectiveness of Intervention on STD and AIDS Depending on Legal Individual Clinics

Objective To promot the ability of prevention and control for STD and AIDS and to develop the consciousness of intervention on target community people.Methods 26 urban individual clinics were standardized in training,guidance and treating on knowledge of STD and AIDS prevention and control.And the community people's behaviors were intervened in their daily treatment.Results During 18 months intervention,the doctors delivered people 1 339 boxes of condom,17 736 copies of publicity materials.543 STD cases and 16 patients undergoing chemotherapy were tranferred.There were 17 cases of STD epidemic situations.Due to the intervention,the final performance made by individual doctors on STD and AIDS prevention and treatment had come to 82.0 points from 59.8 points.The yearly STD morbidity in BaBu district in the year 2005 had declined by 13.33% from the year 2004 before the intervention.Conclusion The measures of intervention on STD and AIDS depending on legal individual clinics are more feasible and effective.
