Evaluation on the Intervention Effect of STD/AIDS Among STD Clinic Clients in Pudong New Area People’s Hospital

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the intervention effect of sexually transmitted diseases(STD) and AIDS among STD clinic clients in the level II hospitals. METHODS On the basis of questionnaire investigation for STD clinic clients, health intervention was carried out; another investigation was implemented during subsequent visit and compared with two investigation results, to evaluate the intervention effects. RESULTS Before and after interventions, the proportion of STD/AIDS knowledge awareness, treatment initiatives, and sexual partners informed for examination was significantly increased among STD clinic clients. CONCLUSION It showed that health intervention has an obvious effect on STD clinic clients. It was proposed that health interventions should be carried out in STD clinics.
