Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of interferon-α1b on human albumin-induced hepatic fibrosis in rats. Methods The human albumin-induced hepatic fibrosis was made in rats and the animals were treated with interferon-α1b and colchicines. The serum hepatic fibrotic markers and the liver histopathological examination were routinely conducted. Results Interferon-α1b decreased the serum ALT and AST levels, increased the serum albumin level, decreased the LN,HA,IV-C and HyP levels, and improved the liver fibrosis histologically. Conclusion Interferon-α1b can inhibit the human albumin-induced hepatic fibrosis in rats.
