Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of xiaoke tongbi decoction in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN). Methods A total of 100 patients diagnosed as DPN were randomly divided into two groups, with 50 cases in each group. On the basis of basic treatment for diabetes, the control group received mecobalamin tablets, while the treatment group received xiaoke tongbi decoction additionally. The curative effects of the two groups were compared after a course of treatment(14 days). Results The curative effect and improvement of TCM syndrome in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P 0.05). Conclusions Xiaoke tongbi decoction has significant effect on patients with DPN.
