The Structure and the Function of Ideological and Political Education: A Reappraisal

The structure and the function of ideological and political education are a pair of basic categories in politics pedagogy and also the important content for basic theoretical study in ideological and political education.The educational circles have carried on the widespread discussion regarding this issue.However,some questions have not been answered,e.g.what is the structure of ideological and political education?How does it determine the function of ideological and political education?etc.The author thinks that the ideological and political education is one kind of human practice in cultural life.It contains triple relations between humans and nature,people and people as well as people and their consciousness,which has decided the natural ecological,social and individual functions of ideological and political education.It is essential for ideological and political education to finally realize the harmonious development between humanity and nature by building up the correct outlook on the world,life and values while properly dealing with various relations in the process of producing materials.
